ROOT CANAL RE-TREATMENT

Common symptoms of root canal failure:

  • Constant unprovoked pain
  • Swelling
  • Pimple-like bump on the gums above a tooth
  • Tenderness to touch
  • Pain to chew
  • No pain but x-ray shows black area at root tips
  • No temperature sensitivity

Common causes of root canal failure:

 

  • Incomplete or inadequate original treatment
  • Leaky filling or crown (decay)
  • Fractured tooth
